Introduction

This privacy and cookie policy sets out how we use and protect any information that you give us when you use this website.

About Us

Teams & Leadership (“T&L”) is an online platform designed for teams and leaders to help them improve. T&L is the data controller and data processor of the information you provide to us to deliver the service. You can contact us at admin@teamsandleadership.net.

What we collect

We collect the following information:

  • your name
  • the email address you use to sign up
  • the password you use to sign up
  • your T&L Membership  ID (the link to the Individual or Team reviews you set up)
  • the title you give to team reviews, or individual 360s you set up
  • information given by you and/or contributors, via the online review questionnaires, to a review you set up

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • allow you access to the T&L platform
  • identify you as an registered user
  • link you as an registered user to the team reviews and individual 360s you set up
  • internal record keeping
  • to allow us to conduct an analysis of who is using the site
  • building a database of anonymised data based on your use of the platform for further statistical analysis and product development
  • sharing or publishing anonymous statistics under the condition that no personally identifiable information can be derived from such statistics.
  • using the information to improve our products and services
  • we may contact you using your contact information with tips about team and leadership development and using the platform
  • we may contact you using your contact information for the purposes of gaining feedback from you on your experience of using the platform, or for research purposes
  • we may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

How to remove your details from our site

You can unsubscribe from our mailings and remove your details from the T&L platform at any time. If you wish to stop receiving communications from us, you will be able to do so by emailing admin@teamsandleadership.net.

Controlling your personal information

We will not sell, share, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen and have given your consent.

We may publish anonymous statistics under the condition that no personally identifiable information can be derived from such statistics.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection legislation and / or the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible, at admin@teamsandleadership.net.

How long we hold your Information

We hold the information that you provide to us while you are a registered. Your information is only held as long as you are a registered user and will be deleted within 1 month after you de-register. To de-register as a user, please contact admin@teamsandleadership.net.

Where your Information is stored

All data is kept by T&L on independent (i.e. not your employer’s) servers. It is not connected to, or accessible by, your employer’s performance management or HR systems. Your information is not  transferred outside the UK.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. If such a disclosure does occur, we will contact you as soon as possible to explain what has happened and take all steps required of us to meet our obligations under the legislation.

You are encouraged to use a unique and strong password for your account. The strength of your password will be indicated as you create it. The UK National Cyber Security Centre recommends a minimum password length of at least 12 characters, for example by choosing multiple words eg 'ThreeRandomWords' - but without using common or discoverable words like your pet's name. The National Cyber Security Centre regularly updates and publishes its security advice at https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/ with excellent suggestions on how to stay safe and secure online, and best practice for password creation.

How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used, and your journey through the website. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
